Lala’s was so great! We showed up with a group of 36 people and that didn’t even seem to phase them. They started us out with bread and oil and we tried not to eat it all before ordering our actual food.
There were so many different things to choose from: pasta dishes, chicken and a variety of salads but what they highlighted on their menu was the steaks. Their largest entree was the tabla de carnes (for 2-3 people) Certified Angus Beef skirt steak, New York steak & center cut filet mignon, served with two sides.
I got the noqui with meat sauce and added sausage (you know, to get in my daily protein) and it was so good!! The texture of the potato dumplings were so soft and warm, kind of like how Krispy Kreme donuts melt in your mouth when you get the hot sign is on. I’m glad I added the sausage because it added a nice spice to the dumplings and tomato sauce.
After the plates were scraped and taken away, we were treated to a slice of flan which was a total surprise! I’d never had it before and it was really good. It’s like a cheesecake with a lighter crumblier texture. Another desert and restaurant to check off the bucket list!!
